Our Philosophy

Our training philosophy is predicated on strength training with the barbell. We believe that the multi-joint movements of the Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press, Overhead Press, Clean and Snatch produce superior results for athletes at all levels. Our workouts combine elements of Gymnastics, Powerlifting, Olympic Weightlifting, Track and Field, and Strongman-style training to develop athletes in the "5 Rings of Fitness": Speed, Work-Capacity, Strength, Agility and Gameness.

  • Speed: the rate at which someone or something moves or travels; the quality of being quick; the ability to apply force rapidly and cover distances quickly
  • Strength: the ability to impart force in athletics, whether it be on a court, field or weight room; the ability to resist being moved or broken by a force                  
  • Agility: the quality of being nimble and dextrous; the ability to control your own body in athletic performance                                                                         
  • Gameness: mental toughness and fortitude; the ability to rise to any obstacle or occasion; the warrior's mentality that allows someone to deal with adversity in a determined and effective way  
  • Work-Capacity: the ability to move large loads over long distances quickly
