Growing up in Fairfax, Va with brothers Jason (co-owner of 5 Rings) and Andy, Dan developed a passion for fitness at a young age. Playing basketball in High School, first at Bishop O'Connell then at Chantilly, he quickly realized the importance of strength training. After being introduced to the weight room as a freshmen/sophomore at O'Connell, his love for 'the game' began to transition to a love of the iron.
With a focus on powerlifting and training young athletes, Dan hopes to inspire the next generation of gym-rats. He is a USA Weighlifting Level-2 Coach, a CrossFit Level-1 Trainer and he holds the CrossFit Football Certification. Dan has contest lifts of a 315# bench press and 515# deadlift (@215 BW);and 100Kg Snatch and 123Kg Clean and Jerk. Moving forward with 5 Rings Fitness and working with both family and long-time friends George and Scott, Dan sees training as a literal dream job. In his free time Dan spends his time with his wife Althea and their super awesome dog Henry.
